Kathleen Antrim

Kathleen Antrim is a Columnist for the San Francisco and Washington, DC Examiner newspapers, author of the political thriller CAPITAL OFFENSE, a contributor to NewsMax Magazine, and a political commentator appearing regularly on radio and television. She has won numerous awards for her writing, including the prestigious Rupert Hughes Award. Her short story, Torn, was included in Pronto! Writings from Rome, an anthology of work by such authors as Dorothy Allison, John Saul, Elizabeth Engstrom, and Terry Brooks. Kathleen grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green State University where she majored in interpersonal and public communications. A longtime political and news junkie, she worked for her political science professor in college. She met her husband while living in Littleton, Colorado and working for the Gillette Company. Moving to Northern California, she and her husband founded the Antrim Engineering and Construction Company. Well-known in the San Francisco Bay area for her charity work, she is one of the founders of the Ruby Hill Giving Thanks Charity Ball, which has donated almost two million dollars to organizations that provide services to children in need. She's also served on the Foundation Boards of Los Positas College, ValleyCare Hospital, and is past President of the Livermore Valley Wine Growers Foundation Board, sponsor of the California Wine Auction, which raises money for children with life-threatening illnesses. Kathleen is an active member in the professional organizations: The Authors Guild, International Thriller Writers, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and Murder Must Advertise. Usually she resides in Northern California, with her husband and two daughters. Currently, Kathleen is dividing her time between California and Washington, D.C. as she is working on a "secret" project. More to come later . . .
